One of the biggest challenges we face is realizing we are NOT what
we do
for a living.
When identity becomes entangled with career, our perception of who we are
becomes skewed.
Our confidence, instead of being rooted in ourselves, is at the mercy of
the marketplace.
And without that self-confidence, the leap to a new career and new possibilities
is laden with fear.
I work with many clients who are involved in some of the most stress-filled
industries of all – media and entertainment.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a television anchor and reporter for NBC
and ABC affiliates, as well as for television stations in Canada.
I am well aware of the unique and complex issues in this field, and the
importance
of coming to a new career with a sense-of-self, intact!
